The Polish bicycle brand started the story similarly to Slovenian Rog.
Just as Rog's Pony was popular in Slovenia, Romet's Wigry 3 model enjoyed similar fame in Poland. The distinctive profile, dynamic drive light and rear stand with spring flap still give a sense of nostalgia to many adults, for whom this model was often the start of their cycling adventure.
The Romet brand has been manufacturing bicycles since 1949 and has similar beginnings as Slovenian factory Rog, with the company being privatized in 1991 and now producing 400,000 bicycles a year. 60% for your brand 40%, for other brands from Germany and other parts of Europe. Their bikes are mostly made up of components from the renowned Shimano brand, which take care of safety and comfort on the bike.
The technology you find on Romet bikes
Hydroforming of aluminum
High-pressure oil is used in the hydroforming process to obtain light and strong aluminum pipes with unique shapes.
FLAT MOUNT DISC
Mounting the brake caliper directly on the frame, without the use of adapters - allows to reduce weight and simplify the design of the connection.
QR-RW
A traditional wheel clamp that works with a handy lever. The wheel can be removed quickly and you do not need tools to remove it.
AL 6061 LITE
Lightweight aluminum alloy 6061, in which a favorable mass-to-power ratio has been achieved due to the T6 annealing process.
AL 6061 X-LITE
Modern aluminum alloy, which due to 30% increased strength allows the use of thin-walled pipes, which further reduces the weight of the frame.
Plus +
Standard tires with increased volume and improved surface contact with the ground. Improves bike grip and cushioning.
Boost
Hubs with increased wheelbase: 110 mm front, 148 mm rear and 3 mm chain line shifted outwards. It has a positive effect on bike handling.
Butted tubing
Shading of pipes, which means the variable thickness of their walls. This allows you to reduce the weight of the frame without reducing its strength and power.
Inner cables routing
Brake, gear cable and other cable lines are routed inside the frame, which means that they can be protected from external conditions and improve the appearance of the bike..
Tapered headtube
The use of bearings of different diameters in the head reduces the weight of this element, while increasing the stiffness of the front of the wheel and reduces the negative effects of overload.

MTB - Mountain bikes
The Romet MTB bike group is a cross-section of models that represent the essence of mountain biking from the entry-level segment. All the features of the bikes have been developed in such a way as to faithfully reproduce the advantages of machines from the sports segment. By analyzing the most important structural elements in terms of ride quality, we took care of the highest level of components in this price policy and achieved exceptional value for money.
Cross bikes
The circular bike collection was created from scratch in response to the changing needs of bike users in this segment. In this case, the dynamics and speed do not mean the need to reduce comfort - the new geometry of the frame provides a very high degree of ergonomics and noticeable comfort.
Trekking bikes
Trekking bikes are a very versatile type of bike with lots of useful accessories. They are usually equipped with 28 '' wheels with narrower and less profiled tires than mountain bikes have. For this reason, trekking bikes are especially suitable for cycling on paved bike paths and paved macadam paths. The frames are distinguished by stability, modern outages and shaded and hydroformed pipe profiles.
City bikes
City bikes are specially designed for short rides at a medium-fast pace on predominantly flat and paved urban areas. They are very convenient and versatile for everyday use from driving to work, school, to the store, to the post office or to the market. With many accessories such as fenders, chain guard, front and rear lights, rear luggage compartment and front basket, city bikes are suitable for riding in normal clothing and in all weather conditions.
Kid's bikes
The first kid's bike is an important purchase for both the child and the parent. It must be easy, comfortable, safe and reliable. Children grow quickly, so kid's bikes differ both in purpose and in the dimensions of the front and rear wheels. They are available with 12 '', 16 '', 20 '' or 24 '' wheels.
