One of the most common questions about electric bikes is how many kilometers can we do with one battery? The range of a single battery depends on many factors. The way you drive it and the conditions in which you drive it. Sometimes you will do 40 km with one battery, but in better conditions the same battery will take you up to 140 km.
Battery capacity
Battery is electricity storage, which the engine needs to operate. The storage size is called capacity. The larger the battery capacity, the more kilometers you will be able to cycle with the help of the engine. Battery capacity is the main factor, which affects the number of kilometers driven. Here you can find batteries with different capacities from a minimum of 378 Wh (watt hours) to 756 Wh.

Display of different conditions
The table below shows the different cycling conditions
Optimal conditions | Difficult conditions | |
Cadence (revolutions) | 50 - 70 revolutions per minute | 70 - 90 revolutions per minute |
Total weight (kg) | 90 | 130 |
Drive type | Econo battery and Econo motor | Econo battery and Econo motor |
Bike type | Trekking bike | MTB bike (mountain) |
Tire type | Trekking - smooth tires | Off-road profile |
The foundation | Road | Muddy tracks and macadam |
Relief | Mostly flat with minor inclinesi | Bigger slopes |
Wind | No wind | Stronger wind |
Range depending on battery capacity
The graphs below show the range of standard Econo batteries in combination with an Econo TSDZ 2 mid-engine and a trekking bike.
- battery 756Wh (21Ah)
- battery 630Wh (17,5Ah)
- battery 504Wh (14Ah)
- battery 378Wh (10,5Ah)
Range according to the selection of the level of assistance on the engine
The range of the Econo system is largely dependent on the level of motor assistance. There are five different driving modes to choose from, each of which is described below. The graphic shows their effect on range in favorable conditions and hard conditions.
The graph below shows the range of the Econo TSDZ 2 mid-motor with Econo Tube M 36V 504Wh (14Ah), taking into account different levels of assistance.
- Level 1 (eco)
- Level 2 (tour)
- Level 3 (speed)
- Level 4 (turbo)
Range depending on motor choice
The type of motor we use also has a great influence on the range of the battery. The type of motors is divided into mid, front and rear, as well as the built-in sensor (torque sensor, speed sensor).
The graph below shows the range on the example with Econo Tube M 36V 504Wh (14Ah).
