SpeedBox 1.6 for Bosch – Unlock the Full Potential of Your E-Bike
The SpeedBox 1.6 is an advanced tuning module designed for e-bikes equipped with the latest Bosch Gen. 5 motor, the Bosch Smart System, and a rim magnet. It removes the factory speed limit, giving you more freedom and a different riding experience.
With the SpeedBox 1.6 installed, motor assistance is no longer limited to 25 km/h. The recommended setting allows speeds of up to 35 km/h, while the limit can be adjusted up to 99 km/h if desired. For stable operation, however, speeds above 35 km/h are not recommended.
IMPORTANT: After installing the SpeedBox, do not update the e-bike's system software.
Smart Control – No Additional Switches Required
The tuning function can be activated and deactivated directly via the bike's control unit:
Activate tuning: Briefly activate the WALK function by holding the “–” button. The display shows 3.5 km/h, indicating that tuning is active.
Deactivate tuning: Activate the WALK function again. The display shows 2.5 km/h, indicating that the standard 25 km/h speed limit has been restored.
If the WALK function is not available on your e-bike, the tuning module can be controlled using the button sequence – + – +.
