About the product
Maxxis Minion DHF – the legend among DH and freeride tires
The Maxxis Minion DHF is a true icon of mountain biking – long regarded as one of the best tires for downhill, freeride, and bike park fun. It can be mounted on both the front and rear wheel and impresses with outstanding grip, cornering precision, and stability at high speeds. Thanks to its superior design, it has become one of the most imitated MTB tires in the world – yet the original remains unbeatable.
Maxxis Minion DHF Wire Bead Tire - SuperTacky | DH - 26x2.50"
Proven concepts such as beveled center lugs for reduced rolling resistance and longitudinally slotted lugs for better steering control and directional stability are combined in an exceptionally fast front tire. Widely spaced intermediate lugs resist mud build-up, while the C-shaped side knobs deliver confident and predictable cornering on any surface.
SuperTacky Compound
The legendary rubber compound that made MAXXIS tires the most successful in downhill racing. For professional riders, it delivers several seconds of time savings per DH run; for everyday riders, it simply means more grip and more fun. Tip: use SuperTacky at the front and MaxxPro at the rear – the perfect balance of grip and durability.
Dual Ply 60DW Casing
Two layers of fabric are combined and wrapped around the steel bead core, creating four plies on the sidewalls and as many as six plies under the tread. This is how MAXXIS downhill tires are built – extremely durable, stable, and ready for the most aggressive descents.
