Shimano CN-LG500 Linkglide – 10/11-speed chain with connecting pin
The Shimano CN-LG500 is a chain developed for LINKGLIDE systems, which are designed primarily for high-torque e-bikes and everyday cyclists for whom drivetrain durability is paramount. The chain ensures smooth, decisive shifting that remains reliable over an extended period of use.
LINKGLIDE technology, with its optimised shifting transition design, enables smoother movement between sprockets and prevents jolts that riders would otherwise feel through their legs. The difference is most noticeable during outward shifting, where forces are greater. Combined with the thicker tooth bases on the LINKGLIDE cassette, the drivetrain is significantly more resistant to wear, delaying the onset of chain skipping.
The chain is compatible with 10- and 11-speed LINKGLIDE systems and 11-speed HYPERGLIDE systems. A Quick-Link SM-CN900-11 connecting link is included for tool-free chain installation and removal.
